1. Build on your strengths
You’ll be happier and more effective when you do what you’re good at in pursuit of your goals.
2. Address your limitations
If there are weaknesses or areas holding you back, deal with them. Until you do, they will slow you down.
3. Develop a learning agenda
What one skill, if you developed it, would most benefit your future success? Start learning it now.
4. Practice and rehearse
Most don’t make time to prepare and practice. Plan important performances, meetings and events and practice in advance to make them extraordinary.
5. Think ahead
Most react, but leaders anticipate. You can’t predict the future but if you pay attention you can anticipate more than your competitors
6. Look for a better way
Good enough isn’t good enough for the key aspects of your business or life. Know what matters enough to be continually improving.
7. Overcome inertia
Luck, as the saying goes, favors momentum. Action needs to be purposeful, but keep doing something to create results.
8. Re-examine your priorities
Focusing on the wrong or less important things limits your results. Make sure your priorities are current.
