While the stock market struggles, problems and challenges are at an all time high. Lately we’ve faced problems of a magnitude we didn’t expect nor could have predicted and they demanded our attention.
Understandably, many have become problem obsessed. That drains morale, creativity and inspiration.
Yet while problems abound so do opportunities if you don’t let the problems prevent you from seeing them.
Solve your problems AND pursue your opportunities.
Fix what’s broken AND create something new.
Address your deficits AND build on your strengths.
Deal with conflicts AND strengthen important relationships.
Accomplish what needs to be done AND accomplish what you aspire to do.
That is the power of “and.”
I live in Colorado. I try to be a responsible driver and focus on the road. But I am often disappointed in how often I fail to look up and see the majesty of the mountains instead of just the drudgery of the drive.
Don’t forget to took up. There are opportunities just above the horizon if you embrace the AND.
