The Five Friends talk about how to get employee buy-in. The 5 Friends have lots of followers from the speaking business and this one is for those good folks. The Five Friends are Joe Calloway, Randy Pennington, Mark Sanborn, Scott McKain and Larry Winget. They have been friends for over 25 years, represent 5 unique points of view and are all members of the Speaker Hall of Fame. They are recognized around the world as some of the top business/personal development experts in the industry.
As a manager, I have faced the struggle of gaining complete buy-in from my employees regarding new avenues that our organization is headed down. I have found that the principles of coaching had some impact upon this issue, but overall it hasn’t solved it. I like the idea that Joe Calloway spoke of regarding the simplification and clarification of organizational goals to help buy-in. I also like the idea of maximizing employee inclusion in the decision making process (where possible) to attempt to build up their internal desire to remain engaged and to “buy-in” to the organizational goals. Thanks for sharing this useful information.
