Before anyone can become better, they’ve got to believe they can be better. Those who don’t think they need any help won’t seek and will ignore it when offered. Often, the person becomes defensive at suggestions because it suggests that they aren’t as good as they think they are.
Any of us can get better at anything if we truly desire to improve. But it is impossible to seek help or get help if you are convinced you don’t need it.
