There is a special gift to be found in the early morning hours: stillness.
Before the phone starts to ringing and the demands of the day present themselves, there is an opportunity to be still.
Stillness affords unequaled time to think, pray, appreciate and inventory your life.
Arise early and give yourself the gift of stillness.

Psalm 46:10
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
Thank you for sharing this gift! Solitude, Stillness and Silence do work wonders especially at dawn. And I love this quote by Mother Teresa on ‘silence’:
“We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature – trees, flowers, grass – grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence… We need silence to be able to touch souls.”
Thanks and regards,

I gave myself the gift of stillness in 2007 when I was at a conference and I heard the Lord say to me in what I thought was an audible voice, “4:30.” So for years I got up at 4:30 to have a quiet time with the Lord before anyone in my house got up and before I got myself off to my work out. The time has now changed to 4 am, because I found I wanted more time. It’s a time a look forward to every morning, and I wouldn’t miss it for the world. In it I allow myself time to read, pray, journal and reflect.
Thank you for sharing these thoughts. Let us all be still before we fly.
